Our Story
Before the toys and the colour and the noise, there is a moment where a room waits quietly for someone who hasn’t arrived yet.
Amy Jade Designs began in that moment.
I’m Amy, a designer and maker based in the Gold Coast Hinterland, Australia. I am a mother to three amazing humans.
Nearly a decade ago, while preparing a nursery for my own daughter, I couldn’t find anything that felt gentle enough for the space. Everything was bright, plastic or temporary. I wanted something calm. Something that belonged in the home, not just the baby stage.
So I made one.
An elephant mobile stitched from sentimental fabrics, created slowly at the dining table. Friends began asking for their own, then their friends did too. What started as a personal piece quietly grew into a small studio sending handmade mobiles to families around the world.
Today each piece is still made with the same intention- natural materials, soft movement and a design that lives comfortably in the room long after the newborn months pass.
Many customers tell me their mobiles stay up for years. Some become part of bedtime rituals. Others move from sibling to sibling.
They aren’t just nursery decor.
They become part of the beginning.
